- Does my Auto insurance cover Rental Cars?
Does my Auto insurance cover Rental Cars?Yes! The coverage on your Personal Auto policy will extend to cover a temporary rental car. This includes Comprehensive, Collision, Liability, Uninsured/Underinsured Liability, and Medical Payments coverage.
In the event of a claim when operating a rental car, some Rental Agencies will charge a fee to compensate them while the damaged rental car is being repaired and not in their fleet of vehicles for rental. This fee is not always covered by Personal Auto insurance and could be an out-of-pocket expense. Depending on state laws, Rental Agencies are not always permitted to legally seek this recovery of damages. Back to Top
